Canvas Teacher App
The Canvas Teacher App provides mobile access to Canvas course management functionalities. Instructure, the app's developer, highlights its utility for on-the-go course facilitation, both within and outside traditional classroom environments. The app streamlines core instructor tasks, including grading, communication, and course updates, through features such as Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes.
The Canvas Teacher App is particularly useful for grading or disseminating brief announcements when a full computer is unavailable or when instructors prefer to complete tasks in a more relaxed setting.

Canvas Student App
The Canvas by Instructure application has been discontinued and replaced with the "Canvas Student" app. While faculty members can utilize the Canvas Student app, it will display courses exclusively in student view, significantly restricting instructor functionalities. It is recommended that instructors download the Canvas Student app to gain firsthand experience of the student perspective when accessing courses on mobile devices.
Instructure describes the Canvas Student app as a tool that enables students to access courses and groups via mobile devices. Students can submit assignments, participate in discussions, view grades and course materials, and access course calendars, to-do items, notifications, and Conversations messages.
